Hometown: I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, however, I call Vegas home after spending more than half my life here.

Favorite genre: I enjoy a wide range of music. Alternative, Rock, Country, Oldies, Top 40, basically a little bit of everything. But my absolute favorite is 90’s Pop and R&B.

What are some of your hobbies/interests?

I love spending time with my amazing husband, my five awesome kids and my beautiful granddaughter. I enjoy cooking, gaming and anything artistic. In fact, I have a little side hustle making custom tumblers. I have recently realized I enjoy working out and hope to get into more outdoor hobbies like hiking and camping.

What’s important to you about working at Sight & Sound Events?

Sight and Sound Events became like a family to me after graduating art school. Jodi and Pat have been some of my favorite people to work for, because it's not really like working for them, it is working with them. They are passionate about what they do, and that is infectious. It makes our entire team want to give it our all and provide the best service and most memorable experiences for each of our events.

What’s your favorite song to hear at a wedding and why?

There are so many good, and even obvious choices here that makes it really tough to decide, but if I had to choose just one it would be “Now That We Found Love” Heavy D and The Boyz. It is one of my happy songs and it always makes me want to shake my booty.

What general advice would you give a couple preparing for their wedding?

Make a list of what you want your special day to look like. What is a must and not negotiable? What allows for some flexibility? What is not necessary? Once you have those things figured out the planning will become significantly easier and way more fun. Which in turn will lead to your day being nothing but enjoyable and stress free. Also remember that the vendors and professionals that you are hiring for your event have a skill that you may not possess. Appreciate those skills and know their worth.

What should every couple know before meeting with their wedding Photographer/DJ/?

Share your vision of what you hope your big day will look like. Use photos or lists as references. And don’t be afraid to ask them questions. These pros have been working at this for quite some time and they can often help when you feel stuck or aren’t quite sure where to start.

How do you know when you’re doing a good job?

I know I am doing a good job when I can hear the smile in the voice on the other end of the phone call while helping our clients plan their special event. It is also reassuring to see the happy reactions when we bring all of this planning to life the day of.

How would others describe you?

Loud! That’s the first one that comes to mind, because I’m often reminded to lower my volume. I’m also often described as kind, artistic, and professional.

What was the last thing you said to yourself just before you got out of bed this morning?

It’s that time again!
